MARIAH
August 10, 2002 -  Rest In Peace Mariah

Mariah is a shepherd  malnois mixed pound puppy. She had been
brought into the pound along with nine of her brothers and sisters
at only 6 weeks of age.  The first I saw of her was this teeny nose
and eyes sticking out from the bottom of a large pile of puppy's. I
remember saying I want that one the one with the cute face. Little
did I know at the time, how much expression that little face could
have.  Especially when she doesn't get her way.  She can give you
the most demanding dirty looks that you have seen.  But actually
she is one of the sweetest...  "good natured" dogs that you could
ever hope to meet. They call the Wind Mariah and I am here to tell
ya, that is quite an understatement. I was warned at the time, that
to name your dog wind is to ask for it. <g>  She fits her name well.
Just like the wind she is as stormy and unpredictable as the gale
of a hurricane, but as gentle as a summer's Breeze

UPDATE:  Since I first made these pages  three years ago... wow
where does the time go to?   I wanted to update each page a bit.
Mariah has slowed down a lot in the last three years but is still the
same sweet girl... just a bit older.  For her age she can still be
rather feisty when she  wants to. <g>   Just last night she quickly
and gently showed my new puppy  some manners.  She didn't
much appreciate having her head climbed all over. LOL

The Final Update:  After a very long and  happy life, Mariah  has
gone on to the Rainbow Bridge.  I can gladly say she never lost
her spunk, she was my little wind storm up until the very end.  The
house will seem just a little more empty without her.... I will miss
her tremendously.
