choking

gasping

reaching for the air

I'm stumbling

wishing my body

wouldn't take me there

throat restricting

not breathing

struggling with fate

I'm trying

not succeeding

to get my heart

beating at it's normal rate

hoping

praying

wanting to escape the fear

crying

feeling

my smothered

lungs sear

suffering

enduring

trying to be strong

failing

fading

without oxygen

life can't last long
