| Each
day that goes
by there's
someone who'll say
"What is
the matter
with the
world today"?
Could it be
in this
age of
material things
that we think
this
is what
happiness brings?
It's no
longer the
simple things
like flowers and trees
or a warm
summer
night with a
delicate breeze.
And whatever
happened to
family and friends
or with
neighbors
some sugar or
eggs we would lend?
Now it's a
matter
of new cars
and toys,
if we don't
have
these things
we don't have the joy.
We fail to
realize
their just
objects, that's all.
They can't
love us
or lend us a
hand when we call.
We came into
this
world without
anything,
we'll go out
the
same way and
these things we won't bring
So let's try
and
remember when
we were a tot,
when we cooed
and
we smiled and
giggled alot.
We were
happiest
when we were
just held, hugged and loved.
These are the
true
riches that
come from above!
